Jamie Winters is used to the unexplained, but she doesn't let it faze her. She is, after all, a renowned biologist. What she doesn't understand, she studies. Except when it comes to herself, which is why she avoids touching others at all costs. She deals with her fear of water by doing the obvious - avoiding it. This can be difficult to do when you're an expert on sea mammal diseases. When Jamie's faced with a trapped dolphin, whose pleas for help mystify her, she decides to investigate it which lands her in murky water. Kidnapped by Seth Cutter, the world's most notorious eccentric environmentalist, has Jamie thinking fast on her feet. Then again, as much as she wants to hate Seth, he just happens to be one drop-dead gorgeous Greek god come to life. Seth is used to taking control and having his commands followed. As a Titan and as Prince of the North Seas, he's had to endure a decade of isolation on land posing as an eccentric human in order to gather information about the encroachment of humans into his undersea world. When ancient sea turtle shells with strange etchings on them end up in the hands of scientists, he knows his life on land is over. Prepared to return to the sea to take his rightful place as ruler, things spin out of his control. A dolphin rescue goes awry, forcing Seth to kidnap a beautiful scientist, whose belief in logic and scientific reasoning are forces to be reckoned with. She's temperamental, doesn't listen to a word he says and tips the scales of his controlled existence. As a Titan in his prime, he feels a mad rush of desire for Jamie. The days they're together become ones of passion and torture, making Seth wish he'd never set eyes on the woman. Will they return the shells to their proper resting place, save the dolphin and somehow find a common ground for their attraction? Only fate and the power of the sea will tell if true love conquers all. |
